The South West Communities Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with The Common Good Foundation, the chamber’s sister non-profit, is excited to offer a considerable scholarship opportunity to high school seniors in 2021. The Common Good Foundation Scholarship 2021 will grant one exemplary student $1,000.00 to put towards their future education.
Each year the South West Communities Chamber of Commerce hosts a car raffle in order to raise funds not only for the chamber of commerce, but also to raise money to support one meritorious students who is making a difference in the community.
High school seniors from Upper St. Clair, Carlynton, Chartiers Valley and South Fayette school districts are eligible for The Common Good Foundation Scholarship. In addition, students must fit the following criteria:
1.) High school senior
2.) Must have a minimum final GPA of 3.2
3.) Provide one teacher recommendation
4.) Provide a copy of high school transcripts or most recent report card
5.) Complete an application form, including a typed 450-600 word essay

About The Common Good Foundation:
The Common Good Foundation is the 501©(3) non-profit arm of the South West Communities Chamber of Commerce. Established in 2008 to enhance our community outreach programs, and when possible to award a scholarship to a high school senior in the school districts served by the Chamber. It is our hope that in the future these young men and women will participate in their community’s achievement and growth.
